Ryant Diew

Co-Executive Director

Oversees the comprehensive management, strategic planning, and execution of CAAA’s mission and vision, ensuring that every program and initiative aligns seamlessly with the organization's broader goals. This pivotal role also involves managing and cultivating essential relationships with stakeholders, donors, and the community to significantly enhance organizational reach and impact. Additionally, it ensures that all activities meticulously support and advance the objectives of the academy effectively.

Shawn Hadnot

Co-Executive Director

Responsible for designing and implementing academic programs that support students’ educational growth, the role involves overseeing tutoring, enrichment activities, and academic workshops, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of all students. Additionally, this position actively manages curriculum development and collaborates with educational experts to adapt and enhance learning opportunities, aiming to maximize student engagement and achievement across all program areas.

Dorian Bohler

Academic Program Director

Dorian Bohler is the Academic Program Director at CAAA, where he utilizes his background as a scientist, educator, and leader. As the founder of Science on the Court, he integrates sports and STEM to motivate youth. A graduate of Morehouse and Georgia Tech, Dorian has worked at ITER, Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. He is also a Board Member and Youth Program Director for Kappa Community Projects, enhancing STEM education for young men of color. At CAAA, he applies his varied expertise to enhance academic programs and support student development.

Mike Postell

Mental Health Specialist

Mike Postell is the Mental Health Specialist at CAAA, with over 13 years of experience in mental health care. A University of Phoenix graduate, he is licensed in California and specializes in treating Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, and PTSD. Mike’s work spans outpatient, inpatient, and forensic mental health, with a focus on youth and diverse individuals. He also serves as a guidance counselor for detained youth with Alameda County, providing mentorship and support. Additionally, Mike supervises graduate student interns, guiding future mental health professionals.

Frank Yeargin

Community Outreach Coordinator

Focuses on establishing and nurturing relationships with local schools, community organizations, and families to enhance the impact and reach of our programs. Actively develops strategic partnerships and outreach initiatives that not only promote CAAA’s mission but also actively engage and recruit new students. This role is vital in expanding our community presence and ensuring that more young individuals have the opportunity to benefit from our comprehensive educational and athletic offerings.

Diego Montoya

Behavior Intervention Implementation Specialist

Diego is one of the dedicated mentors at CAAA, building meaningful and supportive relationships with students. He helps guide and support youth by offering personal mentorship, fostering their growth both academically and athletically. As a mentor, Diego plays an active role in helping students navigate challenges, providing encouragement, and contributing to their overall development. His focus is on building strong mentor-mentee relationships and ensuring each student receives the guidance needed to thrive in a positive and impactful environment.

DeUndrae Perteete

Basketball Relations

DeUndrae Perteete Sr. brings more than a decade of experience to youth sports, demonstrating a deep passion for nurturing young athletes, fostering strong teamwork, and cultivating their competitive spirit. Proficient in Spanish, DeUndrae effectively communicates with and connects to a diverse range of students and their families, ensuring comprehensive growth both on the basketball court and in their personal development. His commitment extends beyond just coaching, as he aims to instill valuable life lessons through sports.

Jacquelene Davis

Fundraising

Jacquelene Davis serves as the Fundraising Organizer for CAAA, leveraging her extensive experience in healthcare and non-profit sectors. She has successfully raised thousands of dollars for numerous non-profit organizations, making her a tremendous asset in driving CAAA's mission forward. With over a decade of expertise in building strategic relationships and promoting impactful programs, Jackie plays a key role in securing vital resources that empower CAAA to foster the holistic development of youth.
