Coach Diew is an Oakland native who attended and started for the 1983 OAL champion Fremont Tigers. He played two seasons at the College of Alameda from 1983-1985. During the 84–85 season, he averaged 27.3 points per game and finished as the number two JUCO scorer in the state of California. He finished as the school’s all-time leading scorer. After the College of Alameda, he attended the University of the Pacific but later transferred to Cal State Hayward (now known as Cal State East bay) where he averaged a then school record 21.5 points per game during the 87-88 season and 22.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4 assist per game over his 2 seasons at the Hilltop to finish as the school’s 3rd all-time leading scorer with 995 points in only 45 games. In 2002, he started coaching club basketball for the Oakland Rebels, where he had the pleasure of coaching more than 17 D1 players. As a coach, he is considered to be one of the top defensive coaches in the Bay Area.
Coach Hadnot played at James Logan High School and was a Captain on the 1984 first ever MVAL Basketball Championship team. He went on to play for Chabot College from 1984-1986, then continued his playing career at Grambling State University for Coach Hopkins. He earned a BS degree in Business Management in 1990, then obtained a Master’s degree in 1994 in Public Administration from the College of Notre Dame. Coach Had not began coaching with the Oakland Rebels AAU organization in 2002. Over the next several years, he had the pleasure of developing and coaching some of the best talent in the bay area in the classes of 2011,2012 and 2013. He continued to coach with the rebels until 2020. The philosophy that keeps him grounded is “Basketball is a tool that teaches life skills. Players need to recognize that basketball has to be taught just like any other course such as Math, English and History. Also remember that no one has the patent on being good. It takes work”.
Diego “Coach Yay” Montoya is currently Lead Director for the Dooley Corporation focusing on Child Development and Behavior Intervention as well as Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach at Head Royce School. A dedicated father of four boys, he is a passionate advocate for fostering healthy development in young minds and bodies. He brings a wealth of experience having spent the past 10 Years coaching youth sports teams, fostering teamwork and competitive spirit.
De'Undrae Perteete Sr. is an experienced basketball coach and educator from Oakland, California, currently residing in Alameda. He has a rich coaching history that includes serving as the men's basketball coach at College of Marin, Kentfield Campus, and as an assistant coach at both San José City College and College of Alameda. He also led as the head basketball coach at Skyline High School and was the JV coach at McClymonds High School. De'Undrae played basketball and studied business management at Southwest Minnesota State University after completing his general education at San Jose City College. He transferred to Fremont Senior High, where he excelled as a 1st team All Oakland Athletic League performer, from San Leandro High. Besides his formal coaching roles, De'Undrae also directed basketball training programs at Triple Threat Academy, focusing on skill development and player advancement. His career reflects a dedicated commitment to nurturing young talent, emphasizing both athletic and personal growth.
